Lucky 13 has been a part of the Clintonville community since 2006 when we began as a walk-in only salon, in an operation that was very much learn-as-you-go. Over more than 15 years we have evolved along with our stylists, until finally bursting into this new iteration in 2020 as a collective for mature artists.  

Lucky 13 Salon Collective continues to build on our tradition of inclusivity, authenticity, and quality. We sustain a peaceful, creative environment that fosters authentic connection and provides our stylists with the freedom and flexibility to pursue our ideal way of working and living.

which stylist is best for me?

     Your relationship with your stylist is based not just on technical skill, but also personal compatibility and communication. It's hard to judge that from a website! Each stylist's bio page provides information and pictures of their work so you can make a better informed decision, so please poke around and see what looks good to you.
     However, you are welcome to try out different stylists, and if we feel another stylist at Lucky 13 would be a better fit, we will suggest them to you. We are a salon collective, so there are no hard feelings, we just want you to find your best stylist!

COVID SAFETY

We take everyone's safety very seriously, and in fact have gotten many new clients because of our COVID protocols. We have a large space with stations spaced far apart, everything is sanitized after use, and there is fresh air circulating throughout the day. See our full COVID policies here. 

pricing and services

Each of our stylists sets their own schedule and prices. On our online booking page, you have the option of picking a service you would like, in which case it will show you the first available time slot, or you can fill in the stylist field, and only that stylist's services will be visible. Each service's pricing is listed for each stylist while you are browsing, so there should be no surprises. If you need any help or guidance in choosing which stylist or service is right for you, please e-mail us!

(see map above)  Like most older buildings in central Clintonville, we have only street parking available. There are usually spots along High Street, or around the corner on California Avenue. It is rare that you cannot find a spot within half a block of our building. ​

What does "salon collective" mean?

For us, being a collective means we are independent stylists who support each other in a collaborative environment. We are trying to combine the best parts of having our own independent businesses, yet still being part of a close-knit team. Like all things in life, we are a work in progress and are continually evolving! Our goal is to create a laid-back yet professional environment where everyone has the freedom to grow their career and craft.
